In our list, former Indian wicketkeeper batsman Syed Kirmani is at number two in terms of catching the most catches in the biggest format of the game for the Indian cricket team.
Kirmani, who was a part of the 1983 World Cup winning Indian team, took a total of 160 catches for Team India in 151 innings of Test matches. He is at number two in this matter. Also, there is a strong possibility that Pant can surpass Kirmani in terms of catching the most catches on the England tour and reach the second position.

In our list, former Indian captain and finishing master MS Dhoni is at the top in terms of taking the most catches for the Indian cricket team in the biggest format of the game.
Dhoni has taken a total of 256 catches in 166 innings of Test cricket for Team India. Dhoni is at the top in terms of taking the most catches for India.
