Doing his best in Bangalore. AB de Villiers came in after the dismissal of Chris Gayle in the Gujarat Lions protest and immediately started shorting. Kohli was equaling him this time too. Both players completed their century in record time. 248/3 was the final score.

AB de Villiers remained not out after scoring 129 runs in 52 balls, while Kohli was dismissed for 109 runs in 55 balls. Lions were bowled out for 104 in the second innings, giving RCB a 144-run win

2. Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers – 215*

Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and elected to bat in their 2015 IPL match at the Wankhede Stadium. They got off to a dreadful start as Chris Gayle was dismissed early. Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, on the other hand, stitched a stupendous partnership. South Africa were thrashed by the bowling attack, scoring 133 runs in only 59 balls. Kohli scored 82 off 50 balls. The result was 235/1. Despite their best efforts, MI could manage only 196 runs.

3. KL Rahul and Quinton De Kock 210*

Lucknow Super Giants openers KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock shared a 120-ball 210-run partnership against Kolkata Knight Riders at the DY Patil Stadium on 18th May 2022. This is the biggest opening partnership in IPL. This unbeaten partnership of 210 runs is the third highest partnership in IPL history. Quinton de Kock thrashed KKR bowls fiercely and scored an unbeaten 140 off just 70 balls and Rahul scored an unbeaten 68 off 51 balls.

4. Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh – 206

In 2011, Kings XI Punjab captain Adam Gilchrist and fellow Australian Shaun Marsh launched a surprise attack on Dharamshala. The pair took on the Royal Challengers Bangalore bowling attack from the fourth over itself. Marsh remained unbeaten on 79 off 49 balls after Gilchrist was dismissed for 106 off 55 balls. Piyush Chawla's four wickets helped RCB trail by 111 runs.

5. Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli – 204*

Chris Gayle started off cautiously as he was given a chance to bat first in a crucial match in IPL 2012. Early on, he lost his opening partner Tillakaratne Dilshan. Captain Virat Kohli then joined them.

Gayle played an unbeaten inning of 128 runs in 62 balls. Kohli, who was to play the second fifty with Gayle, scored 73 off 53 balls. The Daredevils, on the other hand, did not go down without a fight in the match coming within 21 runs of the target. But, credit goes to Kohli and Gayle's huge partnership, the target that was set was very high

6. David Warner and Naman Ojha – 189*

Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner and Indian wicketkeeper Naman Ojha shared a remarkable unbroken partnership of 189 runs in 2012. Chasing 188 for the win, Delhi Daredevils got off to a bad start when skipper Virender Sehwag was dismissed early. Warner on the other hand started letting go and did not look back. He was well supported by Ojha's solid innings. Warner brought up his century in the 17th over as the Daredevils sealed their victory.

7. Jonny Bairstow, David Warner-185

Sunrisers Hyderabad openers Jonny Bairstow and David Warner put on an impressive opening score of 185 off 98 balls against Royal Challengers Bangalore, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, on 31st March 2019. Bairstow played a blistering inning of 114 runs in just 56 balls which included 12 fours and 7 sixes. While David Warner also played an excellent inning of 70 runs in just 42 balls.

SRH managed to score 231/2 in 20 overs which is a huge target for the opposition in a T20 game. Chasing this mammoth target, RCB lost the game by 118 runs. So this partnership is at the 7th position in this list.

8. Gautam Gambhir, Chris Lynn-184*

Batting first, Gujarat Lions posted a score of 183/4 in 20 overs and Kolkata needed to chase down the target of 184 runs. KKR chased down the runs quite comfortably without losing a single wicket and Chris Lynn was the man who did the heavy lifting. On 7 April 2017, Chris Lynn and Gautam Gambhir shared an impressive opening partnership of 184* not out off only 89 balls. At the Rajkot Stadium, he hit fours and sixes all over the ground against the Gujarat bowlers and achieved the target in just 14.5 overs.

Lynn scored an unbeaten 93* in 41 balls with the help of 6 fours and 8 sixes and at the other end, Gambhir also scored an unbeaten 76* in 48 balls with the help of 12 fours. This partnership is at the 8th place among the biggest partnerships in IPL history.

9. Mayank Agarwal, KL Rahul-183

27 Sep 2020 IPL Kings XI Punjab star players KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal put on a memorable 183 off just 99 balls against Rajasthan Royals at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in UAE. Kings XI Punjab openers KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal showed their authority over the Rajasthan Royals bowlers. The Karnataka pair were really well off each other and thrashed the bowlers till they stayed in the middle.

Mayank played a brilliant inning of 106 runs in 50 balls and hit 10 fours and 7 boundaries in his over. KL Rahul played a brilliant inning of 69 runs in 54 balls with the help of 7 fours and 1 six. Their stupendous record partnership helped Punjab post a mammoth total of 223/2 in 20 overs, but Rajasthan Royals chased down the total in 19.3 overs.

10. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway 182

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway share a massive 182-run opening partnership in the IPL on May 1, 2022, at the Maharashtra Cricket Association in Pune. This helped Chennai post an impressive 202/2 in 20 overs and beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 13 runs. Ruturaj Gaikwad played an excellent inning of 99 runs in just 57 balls. Unfortunately, he could not complete the century on 1 run.

Kiwi opener Devon Conway played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 85 runs in just 55 balls. This is the biggest opening partnership of Chennai Super Kings. He broke the previous best opening partnership of 181* between Faf du Plessis and Shane Watson.
