The 17th match of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2025 will feature an interesting matchup between Salem Spartans (SS) and Chepauk Super Gillies (CSG). Scheduled to be played on Thursday, June 19, at the SCF Cricket Ground in Salem, this game promises intense competition as both teams aim to consolidate their position in the points table.
Salem Spartans have had an impressive season so far, winning three of their four matches and currently occupying the second spot on the table. Their balanced unit, led by skipper S Abishiek, has delivered consistent performances, with both batters and bowlers stepping up when needed.
Chepauk Super Gillies, on the other hand, are in sublime form and sit comfortably at the top of the table. The weather in Salem is predicted to be cloudy, with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. While it shouldn’t impact the evening game significantly, a delayed start can’t be ruled out.
