Later this month, on July 26, the 2024 Paris Olympics are scheduled to get underway. There were three new events added to the Summer Olympics in Tokyo the year before: sport climbing, skateboarding, and surfing.
Breaking, or break dancing, and kayak cross, or canoeing, are two new disciplines that will premiere at the forthcoming athletic extravaganza in Paris.
Four non-traditional sports, including breaking, will be played in France. The organisers want to attract younger followers with the inclusion of these sports.

The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris will feature the debut of breakdancing, or break dancing. The boys' tournament is scheduled for August 10, while the girls' competition is scheduled for August 9. The famous Place de la Concorde will be temporarily transformed into La Concorde, which will serve as the official breaking location. In addition, it will hold activities including 3x3 basketball, BMX freestyle, and skateboarding. Two competitions will be held for 16 B-Boys and 16 B-Girls in Breaking. These two groups will compete against each other in solitary fights, with the judges evaluating their dancing skills.
According to the Olympics, breaking events took place all over the world in the 1990s, with b-boys and b-girls matching their actions to the rhythms and pace of the DJ. Athletes who break are called b-boys and b-girls, with the letter "B" standing for breaking. They are regarded as breaking, b-boying, or b-girling while they are in motion.
The b-boys and b-girls competing in the 2024 Olympics will freestyle, adjusting their movements and improvising to the beat of the DJ, whom they won't know about until the tournament starts. Each of the 16 b-boys and b-girls in each category will do a solo dance. A maximum of two slots per gender are allocated to any nation that represents breaking in Paris.

There have historically only been two events in canoeing at the Olympics: sprint and slalom. In the slalom division, kayak cross will now be a new race format at the Summer Olympics in 2024. The participants partaking in the event will have to race against time while navigating obstacles over water.
Since its initial appearance on the ICF World Cup programme in 2015, kayak cross has experienced incredible growth. Every season, the number of athletes rises, live coverage of the races is carried by an increasing number of television networks, and there is a great deal of excitement about the sport's eventual inclusion in the Olympic programme.
In kayak cross, all white water canoeing events are combined, and competitors race in identical plastic stream boats. As soon as the four participants slide from a ramp that is more than two metres above the water and splash onto the course together, the thrill starts. The variety of participating nations is one of the main draws of Kayak Cross. Extreme events are being embraced by athletes from areas where canoe slalom is still in its infancy, and the outcomes have been thrilling.
In 2020 Tokyo, skateboarding, sport climbing, and surfing made their Olympic debut. In 2024, they will also be featured in the Paris Olympics.
