Hyderabad opener Tanmay Agarwal hit the fastest first-class triple century in 147 balls against Arunachal Pradesh during the Ranji Trophy round four match at the Nexgen Cricket Ground in Hyderabad.
Currently, Ranji Trophy 2023-24 season is being played in which Hyderabad has scored 529 runs by losing one wicket till the end of the first day's play against Arunachal Pradesh. In this match, young opening batsman Tanmay Agarwal batted tremendously for Hyderabad and scored the fastest triple century in first class cricket.
Tanmay Agarwal did not spare any bowler of Arunachal Pradesh and attacked them all. Let us tell you, Tanmay Agarwal crossed the 300-run mark in just 147 balls. By the end of the first day's play, he had scored 323* runs in 160 balls with the help of 33 fours and 21 sixes. Tanmay Agarwal broke South African cricketer Marco Marais' record of scoring the fastest triple century in red ball cricket. Marco Marais made this record in 2017 in 191 balls. He made this record against Eastern Province while playing for Border.
