Former Royal Challengers Bangalore spinner and South African star Tabrez Shamsi has picked his all-time T20I playing XI. The 35-year-old African cricketer has included three Indian players in his team.
Tabraiz Shamsi revealed his all-time T20I playing XI in a conversation with Crictracker. Shamsi has picked West Indies legend Chris Gayle and his compatriot Quinton de Kock as openers in his team.
At number three, he chose Indian batsman Virat Kohli, who will retire from this format after leading the Indian team to victory in the T20 World Cup in 2024. Former South African legends AB de Villiers and Faf du Plessis have been placed at fourth and fifth positions.
At number six, Shamsi chose former Indian captain MS Dhoni, who led the team to victory in the first T20 World Cup in 2007. The spinner chose 44-year-old Dhoni as the captain and wicketkeeper of his playing eleven. Shamsi placed Andre Russell at number seven. After this, he has chosen Afghanistan's star player Rashid Khan. Along with this, Imran Tahir has also been given a place in the team as the second spinner.
In fast bowling, he has included India's Jasprit Bumrah. Australia's Mitchell Starc has been kept as the second fast bowler.
