SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) were active at the IPL 2026 Auction. The auction was held in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, December 16. SRH bought 10 players and focused on young Indian players and a few big overseas names.
SRH went into the auction with a purse of ₹25.5 crore. They started by buying uncapped Shivang Kumar for his base price. In the early rounds, SRH tried to bid for many players but did not go beyond their budget.
SRH Focus on Young Indian Players
SRH then made a strong comeback. They signed another uncapped player, Salil Arora, after a bidding war with Mumbai Indians (MI). After that, SRH bought Onkar Tarmale, Amit Kumar, Sakib Hussain, Praful Hinge, and Krains Fuletra at base price. These signings show SRH’s focus on young Indian talent.
Liam Livingstone Is SRH’s Big Buy
SRH’s biggest signing came in the second accelerated round. They spent ₹13 crore to buy England all-rounder Liam Livingstone. SRH beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in a tough bidding war.
SRH also signed Indian fast bowler Shivam Mavi for his base price. He adds experience to the bowling attack.
Jack Edwards Joins SRH
Later, the Kavya Maran co-owned team signed Australian all-rounder Jack Edwards. They won a bidding war against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT) to get him.
