South Africa vs Sri Lanka Test Series Schedule, Squad

The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is scheduled to begin in Perth from November 22. After the end of this Test, the Sri Lankan team will play a 2-match Test series on the South Africa tour, for which Sri Lanka and South Africa have announced their respective teams.

Fast bowler Kasun Rajitha and left-arm spinner Lasith Embuldeniya have returned to the Sri Lankan team. Lasith last played a Test match two years ago. Kasun-Lasith return to Sri Lankan team

The Sri Lankan team announced a 17-member squad for the two-match Test series against South Africa, with Kasun Rajitha and spinner Lasith returning. Rajitha was not part of Sri Lanka's 2-0 home win against New Zealand, but has now returned after a brilliant performance in domestic cricket. Lasith Embuldeniya's return is very special for the team. He was not played in Test matches since 2022, but he showed his ability by taking 17 wickets in the 2023/24 National Super League tournament. Apart from this, spinner Nishan Peiris has also got a place in the team. Off-spin bowling all-rounder Ramesh Mendis has not got a place in the team.

Temba Bavuma returns to South Africa squad

Host South Africa has announced its team for the Test series against Sri Lanka. Temba Bavuma has returned to the team as captain. All-rounder Marco Jansen and fast bowler Gerald Coetzee have returned to the Test team for the first time after the Test series against India.
