Tilak Verma along with Sanju Samson made an unbeaten partnership of 210 runs in 86 balls for the second wicket. Before Tilak's century, Sanju Samson had become the first Indian to score two centuries in a 4-match series. The explosive pair of Samson and Tilak wreaked havoc by breaking records during their respective centuries. Together, the two shared an unbeaten partnership of 210 runs in 86 balls. India scored 283 runs while batting first.
This is South Africa's biggest defeat in terms of runs. Earlier, Australia had defeated them by 111 runs in 2023. Whereas, this is India's biggest victory in terms of runs. Last year, the Indian team defeated New Zealand by 168 runs in their home. Earlier, in 2018, they defeated Ireland by 143 runs. Now the team has registered its third biggest victory in T20 by defeating them by 135 runs.

After Abhishek Sharma was out, Samson and Tilak Verma batted fiercely and wreaked havoc on the South African bowlers. Samson and Tilak have so far shared a partnership of more than 150 runs for the second wicket. On the basis of the stormy batting of these two, India completed the 200-run mark in 14.1 overs i.e. 85 balls. Earlier this year, India had completed two runs in 13.6 overs against Bangladesh. This is the record of completing 200 runs in the third least overs in T20 International. The record of completing 200 runs in the least overs in T20 International is in the name of South Africa, which completed 200 runs in 13.5 overs against West Indies in 2023.
