South Africa announces squad for Pakistan tour: South Africa is scheduled to tour Pakistan in October, where they will play two Tests, three T20Is, and three ODIs. Cricket South Africa has announced its squads for all three formats for this tour. Significantly, the captains for each format are different. Aiden Markram has been named captain in Tests, Matthew Breetzke in ODIs, and David Miller will lead the team in T20Is.

Quinton de Kock comes out of retirement

In other big news, Quinton de Kock has withdrawn his ODI retirement and has been selected for the upcoming tour of Pakistan. De Kock had retired from ODIs after the 2023 World Cup.

South Africa coach said, "Quinton's return to the limited-overs team is a huge boost for us. When we discussed his future last month, it was clear that he still has a strong ambition to represent his country. Everyone knows the qualities he brings to the team, and his return will only benefit the team."
