South Africa announced squad for the WTC Final: The South Africa team has announced the squad for the final of the World Test Championship 2023-25. The team has reached the WTC final for the first time and will face defending champions Australia. The WTC Final is scheduled to be played at Lord's Cricket Ground in England from June 11-15.

A special video has been shared on social media by the South Africa Board, in which captain Temba Bavuma announced the names of all the players included in the squad one by one.

Corbin Bosch gets a place in the WTC squad

Temba Bavuma will be seen leading a strong team in the World Test Championship final against Australia with the return of all his regulars, such as Lungi Ngidi, Kagiso Rabada and Ryan Rickelton. Left-arm spinner Senuran Muthusamy has been preferred over fast bowler Gerald Coetzee, while Corbin Bosch has also got a chance, who impressed everyone on his debut in the Boxing-Day Test against Pakistan at Centurion.

South Africa's performance in the WTC 2023-25 cycle

South Africa topped the WTC 2023-25 points table with 69.44 PCT. They dominated at home, winning series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka while drawing against India. Their form on foreign soil was equally impressive with wins over West Indies and Bangladesh. With eight wins out of 12 matches and one draw, the African team has confirmed its place in its first ICC World Test Championship final.
