Wanindu Hasaranga ruled out of T20I series against Bangladesh: Sri Lanka cricket team has suffered a major setback ahead of the T20 International series with Bangladesh. Sri Lankan team's star leg-spinner and all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga has been ruled out of the T20 series due to a hamstring injury. The series will begin on July 10 with the first match to be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy, Sri Lanka.

Successful bowling despite injury: Hasaranga suffered this injury while batting in the third and final match of the recent three-match ODI series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. However, even after the injury, he bowled and performed brilliantly, taking 2 wickets for 35 runs. Hasaranga took a total of 9 wickets in the three-match ODI series, with an average of 11.67. Sri Lanka won the series 2-1.

After the ouster of Wanindu Hasaranga, the Sri Lankan team management has not yet included any other player in his place in any team. The Sri Lankan camp will play the T20 series with one less player. Hasaranga will now return to Colombo and focus on recovery at the High Performance Center.

Sri Lanka will be captained by Charith Aslanka in the T20 series. This team is different from the team that played against New Zealand earlier this year, as Sri Lanka is devising a new strategy keeping in mind the upcoming international schedule.

All three T20 matches will be played at different grounds. The first match will be played on July 10 at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Kandy, the second on July 13 in Dambulla and the third and final match will be played on July 16 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
