Zimbabwe break record for highest total in T20Is: Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza performed a record-breaking performance with the bat on Wednesday, 23 October. The Zimbabwean all-rounder scored a record-breaking century in 33 balls against Gambia.
He did this feat in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Sub Regional Africa Qualifier Group-B match. With the help of Sikandar Raza's century, the Zimbabwean team scored the highest score in the history of T20 cricket. Zimbabwe scored the highest total in T20 International against Gambia.
Sikandar Raza breaks Rohit Sharma's record for fastest T20I century: Zimbabwe defeated Gambia by 290 runs in the ICC T20 World Cup Sub Regional Africa Qualifier match. Zimbabwe scored 344 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. In response, the Gambia team collapsed for just 54 runs. In this way, Zimbabwe registered the biggest win in terms of runs in a T20 match. The hero of this match was Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza, who scored a record-breaking century by batting brilliantly in the match.

His bat produced an innings of 133 runs in 43 balls, which included 15 sixes. Sikandar Raza completed his century in the 18th over. During this, he registered his name in the record book. As a player from a Test playing country, Sikandar scored the fastest T20I century. He broke the records of Rohit Sharma and David Miller.
Sikandar scored a century against Gambia in 33 balls, while David Miller achieved this feat against Sri Lanka in 35 balls and Rohit did the same against Sri Lanka in just 35 balls.

Most Player of the Match (POTM) awards in T20I cricket: Sikandar Raza has broken a world record of India's star batsman Virat Kohli. Sikandar has won the Player of the Match (POTM) award in Men's T20 International cricket. He now has 17 awards to his credit. Kohli won 16 POTMs in his T20I career.
Kohli retired from T20 International cricket after the T20 World Cup 2024. Indian T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav also has 16 awards to his credit. Let us tell you that Sikandar is the first player from Zimbabwe to score a T20I century. He has jointly scored the second fastest century.
