The biggest highlight of Sameer Minhas's innings was that he broke the record for the highest individual score in the Under-19 Asia Cup final.
Previously, this record was held by Pakistan's Sami Aslam, who scored 134 runs against India in the 2012 final. Sameer not only broke this 13-year-old record but also set a benchmark that will be a major challenge for future batsmen to surpass.
Special note: Sameer Minhas has become the first batsman to cross the 150-run mark in the Under-19 Asia Cup final.

The way Sameer was batting, it seemed he would definitely score a double century today. However, his historic innings came to an end at a score of 172 due to a mis-hit off a delivery from Indian bowler Deepesh Devendra. Although he couldn't reach a double century, his innings put Pakistan in a strong position.
