England announced T20 Squad: The England and Wales Cricket Board has announced the team for the three-match T20 series against South Africa. Apart from this, the team has also been announced for the Ireland series. The experienced all-rounder has returned to the team, who played his last match in November 2024.

After this series, England also has to play a three-match T20 series against Ireland. The ECB has announced the team for both the series.

Left-handed all-rounder Sam Curran, who played against West Indies in November last year, has returned to the team. In the South Africa series, he has replaced Ben Duckett in the team. At the same time, for the Ireland series, he has been selected in the team in place of Matthew Potts. Potts has meanwhile been released from the England team and will now play for Durham in the final round of the County Championship.

Curran has made a comeback to the team by showing a strong game in The Hundred. Apart from this, he also showed a strong game in the T20 Blast. In 24 matches, he scored 600 runs at a strike rate of 150. Also, he did wonders in bowling. He was successful in taking 33 wickets. Karan is considered a great T20 player and this was the reason why Chennai Super Kings added him to IPL-2025. Karan has previously played for Chennai under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.

This comeback of Karan is an opportunity for him to prove himself and show that he is a limited overs specialist. He will also try to make a name in Test cricket.

A one-day series is currently being played between England and South Africa, of which England has lost the first two matches. After this, a three-match T20 series will start which will start in Cardiff from September 10. The second match will be played in Manchester on September 12. The last T20 match will be held in Nottingham.
