Punjab Kings (PBKS) will start their campaign in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season with high hopes after finishing as runners-up last year. The team will play their first match against the Gujarat Titans on March 31 at their home ground in Mullanpur.
In the first phase of the tournament, PBKS will play two home matches at the PCA New Cricket Stadium. After the opening game, the team will travel for two away matches.
Punjab Kings will face the Chennai Super Kings on April 3 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. After that, they will play against the Kolkata Knight Riders on April 6 at the Eden Gardens.
The team will then return home to face the Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 11 in Mullanpur.
Punjab Kings are also expected to play four home matches in Dharamshala later in the season at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium. The dates for those matches will be announced when the full schedule is released.

PBKS Performance Last Season
Punjab Kings had a very strong season last year. Under head coach Ricky Ponting and captain Shreyas Iyer, the team finished first in the league stage with nine wins and reached the playoffs.
However, PBKS lost the final and finished as runners-up. The team will now look to improve and try to win the IPL title this season.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the first phase of the IPL 2026 schedule, which includes 20 matches. The remaining matches will be announced later after the state election dates in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Assam are confirmed.
Punjab Kings have a strong squad with a good mix of experienced and young players. The team will hope to perform well and win their first IPL trophy this season.
