The first match of the 11th season of Pro Kabaddi League is to be played between defending champion Puneri Paltan and Jaipur Pink Panthers on Monday. Puneri, which is in the top-6, has won two of the last four matches and has played two ties. On the other hand, Jaipur's team has lost the last two matches consecutively and is also out of the top-6. Puneri has won five matches so far this season, while Jaipur has won six. However, Puneri has played one match less than Jaipur.
Arjun Deshwal has consistently done a good job for Jaipur in raiding and has taken 131 raid points in 12 matches. However, Jaipur is suffering a lot due to the absence of any other good raider other than Arjun. In defense too, Ankush Rathi is not able to repeat the performance of the previous seasons and is proving to be a flop continuously this season. Experienced Surjeet Singh is also not able to do anything special. Puneri is clearly missing captain Aslam Inamdar, but Pankaj Mohit has consistently done a good job in raiding. Apart from Gaurav Khatri, no one else in defense is able to score points.
