Portugal wins second UEFA Nations League title: Portugal's football team has won the Nations League Cup title. In the final played late on Sunday night, Portugal defeated Spain 5-3 in a penalty shootout. After the extra time ended, the score was tied at 2-2. Then in the penalty shootout, Portugal scored in all five of its shots, while Spain missed one shot.

Portugal's goalkeeper Diego Costa was the hero. One of his saves won Portugal the Nations League title. After the match, Portugal's captain Cristiano Ronaldo started crying. This is Portugal's second title. Earlier, it had also won the title in the first season of the tournament in 2018-2019.

After this match, Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo was seen crying in the middle of the field. His video is rapidly going viral on social media. Seeing Ronaldo crying, fans remembered Virat Kohli, who was seen sitting on his knees and crying with his head bowed down after RCB's victory against Punjab Kings in the IPL 2025 final. These tears were of joy.
