Pakistan squad and schedule for Asia Cup 2025: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 17-member T20 squad for the Asia Cup 2025 and the UAE tri-series to be played before that. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have not been included in the team.
The captaincy of the team has been handed over to all-rounder Salman Ali Agha. The Asia Cup will be played in the UAE from 9 to 28 September. At the same time, Pakistan, Afghanistan and UAE will participate in the tri-series to be held before that.

Babar and Rizwan continued to be ignored in Pakistan's T20I squad, but the senior players who have got a place include fast bowlers Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf as well as trusted players like Fakhar Zaman and Khushdil Shah. Star wicketkeeper Mohammad Haris has also retained his place. The selectors have also expressed confidence in young names like Hasan Nawaz, Salman Mirza and Sufyan Mokim.
