Pakistan announced Squad for the Women ODI World Cup: The ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 is starting on 30 September and its title match is to be held on 2 November. The Pakistani team is also going to participate in this tournament. Now the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced its team. Fatima Sana has been given the captaincy of the 15-member Pakistani team.

Pakistan got entry into the World Cup by securing first place in the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2025. Then it also achieved memorable victories against West Indies and Bangladesh. Bangladesh finished second and has also got a place in the World Cup. At the same time, West Indies was cut out.

Uncapped 20-year-old Eyman Fatima also part of the squad

Uncapped batsman Eyman Fatima has also been selected in the Pakistani team for the Women's Cricket World Cup. Fatima recently made her T20 International debut against Ireland. The batsman impressed the selectors with her performance in Pakistan's national T20 tournament in May. Apart from Eyman Fatima, this will also be the first Cricket World Cup for Natalia Pervez, Rameen Shamim, Sadaf Shamas, Sadia Iqbal, Shawal Zulfiqar and Syeda Arub Shah.

ODI series will be played against South Africa before the World Cup

Gul Feroza, Naziha Alvi, Tuba Hasan, Umm e Hani and Waheeda Akhtar will travel with the Pakistani team as reserve players. Gul Feroza and Naziha Alvi were part of the Pakistani team in the World Cup Qualifiers. The Pakistani team will play a three-match ODI series against South Africa before the World Cup. The series will be played in Lahore from 16-22 September. Only those players will participate in this series from Pakistan who have to play in the World Cup.
