Pakistan ODI Tri-Series, 2025 : Before the Champions Trophy, a tri-series is to be played between Pakistan, New Zealand and South Africa, the first match of which will be played between Pakistan and New Zealand on Saturday, 08 February at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. This match will be played from 02:30 PM according to Indian time.

Fakhar Zaman and Saud Shakeel will open the innings for Pakistan (PAK). Since Sam Ayub is injured, Fakhar Zaman is back in the team, however, his opening partner is not confirmed, either Saud Shakeel or Babar Azam will open with him. If Saud Shakeel opens then Babar Azam will be the backbone of the batting department. Kamran Ghulam and Mohammad Rizwan will strengthen the middle order for Pakistan. Mohammad Rizwan will lead Pakistan as captain. He was the player to score the most fantasy points in the last match. Mohammad Rizwan will do wicketkeeping for Pakistan. Agha Salman and Abrar Ahmed will take care of their team's spin bowling. Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf will lead their team's pace attack.
On the other hand, Will Young and Rachin Ravindra/Devon Conway will open the innings for New Zealand (NZ). Kane Williamson will be the backbone of the batting department, if early wickets fall, he will handle the innings. Mark Chapman and Daryl Mitchell will strengthen the middle order for New Zealand. Mitchell Santner will lead New Zealand as captain. He is also a good all-rounder. Rachin Ravindra and Mitchell Santner will take care of their team's spin bowling.
