New Zealand squad announced for T20I series against Pakistan: The New Zealand cricket team suffered a 4-wicket defeat at the hands of India in the final match of the Champions Trophy 2025. After the defeat at the hands of India, the Kiwi team has now moved on to its next journey. The New Zealand team has to play a five-match T20I series against Pakistan, for which the team has been announced.

Last year, when Michael captained the Kiwi team on the Pakistan tour, the series was drawn 2-2. Now in the absence of Mitchell Santner (who will be in India to play IPL), Michael Bracewell will take charge of the team.

• After the defeat at the hands of India in the Champions Trophy 2025, many players of the New Zealand team (Mitchell Santner, Devon Conway, Lockie Ferguson, Glenn Phillips and Rachin Ravindra) will go to India, as the IPL is to start from March 22.
• In such a situation, he will not be available for New Zealand's upcoming T20I series with Pakistan. A five-match T20 series is to be played between New Zealand and Pakistan from March 16, for which Michael Bracewell has been given the command of the Kiwi team.
• Bracewell played an important role in the Champions Trophy 2025, but the Kiwi team had to face defeat in the final. Bracewell took a 4-wicket haul against Bangladesh and a half-century against India in the final. Now he has got the command of the team for New Zealand's T20I series against Pakistan.
• He said in the NZC press release that it is a great honor and a real privilege to captain his country. "I really enjoyed leading the team in Pakistan last year and we have included a number of players from that squad for this series as well, which is nice," Bracewell said in an NZC press release.
