New Zealand (NZ) Squad For ICC Champions Trophy 2025

New Zealand has unveiled its 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025, with their campaign kicking off against hosts Pakistan on February 19th in Karachi. This tournament will mark the first major ICC event under the leadership of white-ball captain Mitchell Santner, who recently guided the team to success in ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka.

The NZ squad for Champions Trophy 2025 has both experience and young talent. The pace trio of Will O'Rourke, Ben Sears, and Nathan Smith are set to make their debut appearances at a senior ICC event.

Santner will lead the spin department, while all-rounders Michael Bracewell, Glenn Phillips, and Rachin Ravindra will provide valuable support.

Experienced campaigners Kane Williamson and Tom Latham bring a wealth of experience to the side. Latham will don the wicketkeeping gloves throughout the tournament. Notably, Santner, Williamson, and Latham were all part of the New Zealand squad that competed in the previous Champions Trophy in England and Wales in 2017. Williamson also has experience from the 2013 edition.

Matt Henry will spearhead the pace bowling attack alongside veteran Lockie Ferguson, who is set to participate in his fifth ICC event. Ferguson played a pivotal role in the last two ICC ODI and T20I World Cups.

Jacob Duffy has been named as a reserve player and could potentially replace Lockie Ferguson if the latter becomes unavailable due to franchise cricket commitments.
