New Zealand announces squad for T20 tri-series against South Africa and Zimbabwe: New Zealand has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming T20I tri-series against South Africa and Zimbabwe. The New Zealand team will begin preparations for the 2026 T20 World Cup under the supervision of new head coach Rob Walter.
Key fast bowler Adam Milne and middle-order batsman Bevon Jacobs have been included in the squad while many veteran players have been left out of the team. Former captain Kane Williamson, Devon Conway, Ben Sears, Kyle Jamieson and Loki Ferguson are not part of the team.
Williamson is currently playing for Middlesex in the county and has declared himself unavailable for the upcoming series. Ben Sears is injured. Loki Ferguson is resting under workload while Jamieson is waiting for the birth of his child.

Meanwhile, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, and captain Mitchell Santner have returned to the team. All three did not participate in the T20 International series against Pakistan as all three were busy in the IPL since March.
Talking about the team, Walter said, 'I think we have selected a very strong team for the upcoming series and my focus will be on keeping the team united and working. Our team has good experienced players and I am happy with the return of those who did not participate in the series against Pakistan due to IPL.'
