West Indies squad announced for Nepal tour: The West Indies have announced their squad for the upcoming bilateral T20 series against Nepal. Cricket West Indies has named all-rounder Akeal Hosein as captain of the 15-member squad.
The series will be played in the United Arab Emirates, where the Asia Cup 2025 is currently being held. However, Sharjah has been chosen as the venue for all three matches of the historic first series between the West Indies and Nepal, while no Asia Cup matches are being played in Sharjah.

Regular captain Shai Hope, like several other regulars, has been rested. Six new players could get a chance to debut in this series, as some new names have been added to the squad. Rayon Griffith will be the head coach of the team.
The team, led by Akeal Hosein, also includes experienced players like Jason Holder and Obed McCoy.
"This series against Nepal is another important step in the development of West Indies cricket," CWI Director of Cricket Miles Bascombe said in an official statement on Wednesday, September 17. "This series against Nepal is another important step in the development of West Indies cricket. It will provide our senior men's team with the opportunity to play against an emerging cricket-loving nation and gain valuable match experience in different conditions."
Bascombe further added, "Beyond the current fixture, this tour reflects our long-term vision to build a team that can adapt to conditions, withstand challenges, and be prepared for global challenges."
