Bangladesh batsman Mushfiqur Rahim has retired from ODI cricket. Mushfiqur announced this on his Facebook page on Wednesday. He shared this information a week after Bangladesh's exit from the Champions Trophy. Mushfiqur's ODI career spanned 19 years. He has also been a former captain of Bangladesh. Rahim is the only Bangladeshi to score three double centuries in Tests. He announced his retirement from T20 after the 2022 World Cup.
Mushfiqur wrote on social media I am retiring from ODI cricket today. I believe that our achievements in international cricket are less. But whenever I played for the country, I played with full dedication and honesty. Rahim said that the last few weeks were full of difficulties for him. Due to which he has decided to retire.
Mushfiqur Rahim has announced his retirement from T20 international cricket after the 2022 World Cup. He informed about this by posting on social media. Mushfiqur played 102 matches in his T20 career, in which he scored 1500 runs. His highest score was 72 runs. His average in T20 cricket is 19.23 and strike rate is 114.94. Bangladesh team's performance in the 2022 World Cup was very poor and it was eliminated in the group stage itself. Mushfiqur's performance was disappointing in this tournament too, in which he scored only 5 runs.

Mushfiqur Rahim has played 274 matches. In his entire career, Rahim has scored 7795 ODI runs, making him second only to Tamim Iqbal among Bangladeshi batsmen. His batting prowess is clearly visible in his 49 half-centuries and nine centuries. Apart from this, his contribution as a wicketkeeper has been very important, he has 243 catches and 56 stumpings to his name.
