Mumbai Indians Squad for IPL 2026: Full MI Players List with Price

Five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians (MI) were active at the IPL 2026 Auction in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, December 16. MI bought five players to strengthen their squad.

They were lucky to get Quinton de Kock, the South African wicketkeeper-batter, at his base price. De Kock recently came out of ODI retirement and is in very good form. He will help MI with both batting and wicketkeeping.

Young Indian Players Added in Mumbai Indians

MI also bought four uncapped Indian players, each for ₹30 lakh:

• Atharva Ankolekar – left-arm spinner and left-handed batter. In 25 T20 matches, he has 19 wickets and 135 runs at a strike rate of 156.97.
• Mohammad Izhar – 21-year-old left-arm pacer from Bihar. He has 9 wickets in 5 T20 matches with an economy of 7.11.
• Danish Malewar – 22-year-old top-order batter from Vidarbha. In 13 first-class games, he scored 1,151 runs at an average of 52.31, with 3 hundreds and 8 fifties.
• Mayank Rawat – off-spinner and lower-order batter from Delhi.

Mumbai Indians Auction Strategy

MI went into the auction with a small purse of ₹2.75 crore. They had only five slots to fill, including one overseas slot. They had already retained 20 players from their 2025 squad. Last season, MI reached the playoffs but lost to Punjab Kings in Qualifier 2.
