IPL T20 cricket is full of explosive batting, but even the greats have bad days. In IPL 2025, Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has etched his name in an unwanted record book, registering his 19th duck which is the most in IPL history! While Maxwell's aggressive style has won matches, it has also got many players out early. But he is not alone. This list of batsmen with the most ducks in IPL includes many top players including Rohit Sharma, Dinesh Karthik and Sunil Narine.

1. Glenn Maxwell (19 Ducks)

Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has reached the top of the unwanted record with 19 ducks in just 130 IPL innings, the most recent of which is his duck at the start of the IPL 2025 season. Maxwell has been out for duck once in almost every seven innings. Since his debut in 2012, he has played 135 matches for four different franchises and has had a poor outing for RCB in 2024, scoring just 52 runs in nine innings.

2. Dinesh Karthik (18 Ducks)

IPL legend and former Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik holds the record of getting out on zero 18 times in 234 IPL innings of 257 matches. One of the most experienced players in IPL history, Karthik's number of getting out on zero is the highest among all Indian players in the tournament. The Indian wicketkeeper-batsman has a brilliant record with the bat, scoring close to 5,000 runs at a strike rate of 135.36.

3. Rohit Sharma (18 Ducks)

Mumbai Indians veteran Rohit Sharma holds the record for getting out on zero 18 times in his 258-match IPL career (253 innings). Former Deccan Chargers superstar Sharma is still one of the all-time great IPL batsmen and one of the most successful players in the tournament's history, winning six titles, five of them as captain. Sharma has scored over 6,500 runs in 253 innings with two centuries and 43 half-centuries

4. Piyush Chawla (16 Ducks)

Indian leg-spinner Piyush Chawla is one of the most successful bowlers in IPL history. Unfortunately for the 2014 title winners, the cricketer has the most scoreless innings in the tournament. In his 192-match IPL career, Chawla has been dismissed for zero 16 times in 92 innings. He has played for four different franchises in his career so far

5. Sunil Narine (16 Ducks)

West Indies' Sunil Narine holds the record of being dismissed for zero 16 times in 111 innings of 178 matches in the IPL. A bowler by profession and a pinch hitter by batting, the veteran West Indies player spent the initial years of his IPL career as a lower-order batsman but later became one of the first-choice openers for his franchise.
