MI sign South African all-rounder Corbin Boch tos replace Lizaad Williams

Mumbai Indians have signed South Africa all-rounder Corbin Bosch to replace Lizaad Williams, who will miss the upcoming IPL 2025 due to a knee injury. Williams was ruled out of South Africa's 2025 edition in January this year due to the same injury and is yet to fully recover to play for the five-time champions in the IPL. He was bought by MI at his base price of Rs 75 lakh.

Corbin Bosch, who went unsold during the mega auction, has now joined the Mumbai Indians squad after representing MI Cape Town in this year's South Africa 20, taking 11 wickets in eight matches, including 4 for 19 against Sunrisers Eastern Cape.

Corbin was a vital part of the Proteas Under-19 team that won the World Cup in 2014. He was also named Player of the Match for his brilliant spell of 4/15 in the final against Pakistan.

The 30-year-old has had a title-winning feat in the SA20 2025, taking 11 wickets in eight matches to give MI Cape Town their maiden trophy. Ahead of the SA20 2025 tournament, the right-hander made his Test debut in December 2024, where his unbeaten 81 in the first innings played a key role in South Africa's thrilling two-wicket win over Pakistan.

With over 2,500 runs and over 150 wickets across formats, Bosch has truly proven his all-round talent and is eager to make an impact in the Indian Premier League.
