Report: Report: 3 bold decisions

A report is coming out, according to which, the selection committee can take three bold decisions during the meeting. Let's know about these decisions.

1. Shubman Gill will be dropped?

According to the report, there is no place for Shubman Gill in the team for Asia Cup 2025. The selection committee can field the pair of Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson for opening.

At the same time, Yashasvi Jaiswal will be the third option for opening. However, Gill can get a chance only if coach Gautam Gambhir insists on selecting him. If this happens, Yashasvi will be dropped again.

2. No place for Mohammed Siraj

Despite taking the most wickets for India on the England tour, Mohammed Siraj can be dropped for Asia Cup 2025.

Jasprit Bumrah can be selected for this tournament. Siraj's selection has become quite challenging. Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna and Harshit Rana are available for the second pace bowling option. Mohammed Shami may also not be selected.

3. Shreyas Iyer Dropped?

Shreyas Iyer, who performed brilliantly in the middle order in IPL 2025, may be dropped for the T20I Asia Cup selection. Tilak Verma, Suryakumar Yadav and Rinku Singh can be selected for the middle order, while Shivam Dubey and Washington Sundar can get a place in the team along with Hardik Pandya for the all-rounder.
