After the 11th season of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), the teams have started preparing for the next season. Franchises are making many changes. Most of the changes are being made regarding the coaching staff. So far there have been some teams whose coaching staff has changed. Puneri Paltan changed its coach in the middle of the season.
After this, some other teams including Tamil Thalaivas changed the coaching after the season ended. Jaipur Pink Panthers removed their coach Sanjeev Kumar Baliyan despite making it to the playoffs. Patna Pirates also removed Narendra Redhu from his post despite making it to the finals. In such a situation, till now we have announced our coach for the 12th season of Pro Kabaddi League.
Jaipur Pink Panthers have also removed their title-winning coach Sanjeev Baliyan from his post. Under the coaching of Sanjeev Baliyan, the team won the PKL title during the 9th season. However, after this, the team could not win the trophy during the 10th and 11th seasons and Sanjeev Baliyan was removed and Narendra Redhu was made the coach of the team.
Narendra Redhu performed brilliantly and took Patna to the finals and perhaps this is the reason why Jaipur has appointed him as their coach for the upcoming season. Talking about Jaipur, the team is the second most successful team in PKL history. This team has won the title twice so far and the responsibility of making the team champion for the third time will be on Narendra Redhu.
Patna Pirates performed brilliantly in the 11th season of PKL. They reached the finals. The team won 13 out of 22 matches and lost 7 matches. Coach Narendra Redhu led the team brilliantly and took the team to the finals. Despite this, he was removed from his post. After removing Narendra Redhu, Patna Pirates have appointed Anup Kumar, one of the best raiders of the Pro Kabaddi League, as their coach.
Tamil Thalaivas have appointed Sanjeev Baliyan as their head coach for the upcoming season of the Pro Kabaddi League. Baliyan was previously the coach of Jaipur Pink Panthers. He also led the team to the title in the 9th season. Overall, Sanjeev Baliyan has won the PKL trophy twice as a coach. After a series of poor performances, Tamil Thalaivas have now appointed him as their coach for the next season.
Bengaluru Bulls have appointed two-time PKL title-winning coach BC Ramesh as their new head coach for PKL season 12. As a coach, Ramesh has led Bengal Warriors and Puneri Paltan to PKL titles. Apart from this, he was also the assistant coach of Bengaluru Bulls in 2018, when the Bulls won their first PKL title. BC Ramesh will replace Randhir Singh Sehrawat, who was serving as the head coach of the team for the last 11 seasons.
For the 12th season of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL 12), U Mumba has appointed Indian Kabaddi legend Rakesh Kumar as its new head coach. In the last two seasons of PKL, U Mumba's coach was Iran's Gulamreza, but for the 12th season, the team has made a change and appointed Rakesh as the coach. It is worth noting that in the 11th season of Pro Kabaddi League, U Mumba's team finished fifth in the points table and after that it was defeated by Patna Pirates in the eliminator.
PKL season 10 champions Puneri Paltan have appointed former Indian captain and Kabaddi legend Ajay Thakur as their new head coach for the upcoming season. You must be aware that after the team's poor performance in the last season, Ajay was included in the team as an assistant coach in the middle of the season. This season he has got a promotion and he has become the head coach directly from assistant. Now the team will have a lot of expectations from him that he will contribute his experience and make the team champion once again.
Bengal Warriors have appointed Naveen Kumar Bajjad as their new head coach for the 12th season of the Pro Kabaddi League. Talking about Naveen Kumar, he has played for India and has also won many medals. He also has experience of coaching in PKL. He has previously been the head coach of Tamil Thalaivas and Telugu Titans. Apart from this, he has also coached many teams at the domestic level. He was not a part of PKL for many seasons but now Bengal Warriors has given him a big responsibility.
Gujarat Giants have made strategic changes including new coaching staff for Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 (PKL 12). The move has been taken to build a fearless and strong team for season 12. Jaiveer Sharma has been appointed as the new head coach while Varinder Singh Sandhu will play the role of assistant coach of Gujarat Giants.
