KL Rahul buys Goa Guardians team in Prime Volleyball League: Indian cricketer Lokesh Rahul has acquired a team in the Prime Volleyball League (PVL). He has become co-owner of the Goa Guardians franchise ahead of the fourth season, which will be played in Hyderabad from October 2 to 26. In a statement issued here, Rahul said that he wants to give volleyball the popularity it deserves.

He said: "PVL is a turning point for volleyball in India, and its primary objective is to make the sport accessible to more people."
Goa Guardians' principal owner, Raju Chekuri, welcomed Rahul's move. He said that Rahul's passion for volleyball and his belief in its potential will help build a franchise that inspires fans and empowers players. Goa Guardians will debut this season and compete against other top franchises.

KL Rahul is currently resting as the Indian team is playing the Asia Cup in the UAE, and the senior right-handed batsman hasn't been included in the squad. He will soon be seen in action in the home Test series against the West Indies, starting on October 2nd.

Rahul has also been included in the squad for the second match of the two-match unofficial Test series between India A and Australia A. Siraj is also expected to appear alongside Rahul in this match, scheduled to be played at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow from September 23rd to 26th.

Previously, Rahul displayed excellent form during the England tour. His bat spoke volumes. In the absence of senior players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, he performed his duties admirably and provided every possible support to new captain Shubman Gill. In 10 innings across five Tests, he scored two centuries, and played several match-winning and match-saving knocks.
