The defending champions will now play their home match against LSG in the afternoon, and hence, they will only get a 3-day break for their crucial match against CSK in Chennai.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the rescheduling of Match No.19 of Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), originally scheduled for Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
The decision has been taken following a request made by the Kolkata Police to the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) regarding the deployment of personnel across the city due to festivals. The officials have recommended that the game be shifted to Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 3:30 pm, and the request has been accommodated accordingly. The rest of the schedule will remain unchanged.

Sunday, April 6 will now be a single-header match, with Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gujarat Titans facing off at 7:30 PM (Match No. 20). Tuesday, April 8 will be a double-header, with KKR vs LSG match in Kolkata in the afternoon, followed by a match between Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings in the evening.
