Kolkata Knight Riders have signed Shivam Shukla in place of West Indies' Rovman Powell for the remaining matches of IPL 2025. The franchise gave this information on Sunday (May 18). Shivam Shukla has played only one season of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy at the domestic level. Earlier, he made headlines in the first season of Madhya Pradesh Premier League. Shivam took 12 wickets in six matches, with his best performance being four wickets for 18 runs.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are out of the playoff race. Now they have to play their last match of the group stage against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday 25 May. Before this match, the franchise has included Madhya Pradesh's mystery spinner Shivam Shukla in the team. He has got entry in the team in place of deadly West Indies all-rounder Rovman Powell.
