The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have revealed their new jersey for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season. The franchise launched the kit just a few weeks before the tournament begins on March 28.
KKR are the seventh team to release their jersey for IPL 2026 after Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Lucknow Super Giants, Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings.
The new jersey keeps KKR’s famous purple and gold colours but adds a new design theme called “Lines of Legacy”.
Design Inspired by Famous KKR Moments
The idea behind the new jersey is to celebrate important moments in KKR’s history. The design includes special lines and patterns that represent these memorable events.
One of the moments included in the theme is Brendon McCullum’s amazing 158 not out in the first match of the IPL in 2008. Another big moment is Rinku Singh hitting five sixes in one over to win a match for KKR in IPL 2023.

Even with the new design, KKR have kept their traditional look. The purple colour is still the main part of the jersey, and the gold panels on the sides are also back. The three stars above the team logo are still there to show KKR’s three IPL titles.
Price of the New KKR Jersey
Fans can now buy the jersey from the official KKR store. The jersey is available in different versions:
- Youth player version: ₹799
- Half-sleeve player version: ₹1,899
- Full-sleeve player version: ₹2,099
Fans can also customize the jersey by adding their name and number, which costs ₹125 each.

What the KKR CEO Said
Speaking about the jersey launch, Venky Mysore, CEO of Knight Riders Sports, said the design shows the team’s journey over the years.
He said the “Lines of Legacy” theme represents important moments that built KKR’s identity. He also added that the team is proud of its history and hopes to create more special memories for fans in the upcoming season.
KKR IPL 2026 Schedule
KKR will start their IPL 2026 campaign against Mumbai Indians on March 29 in Mumbai.
After that, they will play their first home matches at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
