Why Jasprit Bumrah Ruled Out

Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 due to a lower back injury. The decision came after a prolonged assessment of his fitness status, with the BCCI confirming his unavailability late on Tuesday night.

Bumrah, India's pace spearhead, had been struggling with back issues, which ultimately led the selection committee to name 23-year-old pacer Harshit Rana as his replacement in the final 15-man squad. His absence is a significant blow to India's bowling attack, as he was expected to lead the pace department in the tournament.
