India's vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah created history in Test cricket when he took the wicket of Ben Stokes. He became the first Indian fast bowler to take the fastest 150 Test wickets. Bumrah achieved a historic feat during the second Test against England in Visakhapatnam. Bumrah has taken 150 wickets in just 34 test matches.
R Ashwin is at the first position in terms of taking the fastest 150 Test match wickets for India. Ashwin has achieved this feat in only 29 test matches. Ravindra Jadeja's name is recorded at second number in this list. Jadeja did the feat of scoring 150 in 32 test matches. Jasprit Bumrah is at the third position, equaling legendary spinners Anil Kumble and Erapalli Prasanna. All three have done this feat in 34 test matches.
After dismissing England's Tom Hartley, Bumrah also completed the feat of taking his 10th five-wicket haul in Test cricket. In England's first innings, Bumrah dismissed Joe Root (5), Ollie Pope (23), Jonny Bairstow (25), Stokes (47) and Hartley (21). Achieved sixth success by dismissing James Anderson.
Talking about Asian fast bowlers, only the legendary Waqar Younis is ahead of Bumrah's record, who had taken 150 wickets in just 27 Test matches. Pakistan's Imran and Shoaib Akhtar are also included in this exclusive club.
