Jadeja and Sanju Samson trade confirmed: The 19th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) next year will see some major changes to the teams, and now the picture of one of the biggest player trades has become clear. For quite some time, there has been talk of Ravindra Jadeja moving from Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Sanju Samson joining the CSK team.
Finally, an official announcement from the IPL has confirmed that Ravindra Jadeja has been added to the Rajasthan Royals squad through a player trade, while Sanju Samson has joined the Chennai Super Kings.

Ravindra Jadeja, who made his IPL debut with the Rajasthan Royals, has returned to his old home.
Jadeja has been playing for the Chennai Super Kings since joining them in the 2012 IPL season. Jadeja played a crucial role for CSK and remained a part of the squad for 12 seasons.
Jadeja is considered one of the most experienced players in the IPL, having played over 250 matches. Ravindra Jadeja, whose fee until last season was ₹18 crore, was added to the Rajasthan Royals squad through a player trade for ₹14 crore. He received ₹4 crore less in this trade.

Sanju Samson Traded to CSK for ₹18 Crore

Sanju Samson, who has been a part of the Rajasthan Royals for the past several IPL seasons and has been captaining the team, has now joined the Chennai Super Kings with Ravindra Jadeja's move to Rajasthan.
Sanju made his IPL debut in 2013. He was part of the Delhi Capitals in 2016 and 2017, and has played for the Rajasthan Royals in all seasons so far.
Chennai Super Kings spent ₹18 crore from their purse as per player trade rules to acquire Sanju Samson.
