Italy has announced its 15-member squad for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. Italy will be making its debut in the World Cup. The team will play its first T20 World Cup match against Bangladesh on February 9th at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Their next match will be against Nepal in Mumbai on February 12th. Wayne Madsen will captain the Italian team in the T20 World Cup.

The team includes all-rounder JJ Smuts, who has previously played for South Africa at the international level. He has played 13 T20 International matches so far. Italy secured their place in the tournament thanks to a historic performance in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier 2025. By defeating Scotland and Guernsey, they finished in second place and qualified for the World Cup alongside the Netherlands.

The Italian coaching team will be led by head coach John Davison. Kevin O'Brien and Douglas Brown will serve as assistant coaches, while Peter Di Venuto will take on the role of team manager. Making their tournament debut, Italy has been placed in Group C alongside two-time champions England, West Indies, Bangladesh, and Nepal.
