At present, this deal has not been finalized and the chances of it happening are slim. KKR approached DC several times to bring KL Rahul into their team, but Delhi Capitals have flatly refused to part with their marquee player.
DC management has made it clear that they will not easily let go of one of their most important players, who scored over 500 runs for them in IPL 2025.

Why did KL Rahul's trade deal with KKR stall?

The main reason for the trade stalling is the disagreement between the two teams on the swap deal. Delhi Capitals demanded some big names from KKR in exchange for Rahul, but KKR was not ready to accept them.
Delhi Capitals' initial offer was a direct swap with Sunil Narine, which KKR immediately rejected. The reason was clear: Narine is KKR's biggest match-winner and a key player who has been part of the team for the longest time.
DC then sought Rinku Singh and Angkrish Raghuvanshi in exchange for Rahul, adding young talent. KKR rejected this offer as well, as Rinku Singh is a 'homegrown' player for the franchise and an important part of their future plans.
DC's third offer was to swap Harshit Rana and Angkrish Raghuvanshi. KKR also rejected this deal as they were not willing to give up their young core players.
Final Update: Delhi Capitals have rejected all trade offers made by KKR for Rahul. Therefore, KL Rahul will remain with Delhi Capitals for the time being.
