
The Ireland Cricket Board has announced its squad for the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh. The first match of the Test series will be played on November 11.
The Ireland team will tour Bangladesh in November 2025. The two teams will play a Test and T20 series. The Ireland Cricket Board has announced the squad for this series. The Irish team last toured Bangladesh in 2023, when the first Test match between the two teams was played.
The current Ireland squad includes seven players who will play in the 2023 Test match. Cade Carmichael, Liam McCarthy, Jordan Neal, and Stephen Doheny are all making their Test debuts. Uncapped Gavin Hoey is also in the squad, having previously been selected but not given a chance to debut.
Cade Carmichael made a strong performance in the four-day match against Afghanistan A earlier this year. He then made his ODI debut against the West Indies. He has now been included in this series as well. Mark Adair has successfully returned to the team after knee surgery and has been included in the T20 squad. He is not part of the Test squad.
Tim Tector returns to the T20 squad, while Ben Calitz retains his place, having recently made his debut for Ireland in the third T20 International against Malahide during the England series. It will be interesting to see how Bangladesh performs with these players.
