There is a well-thought-out strategy behind these stringent measures taken by the BCCI. The primary beneficiaries of these regulations will be the Away Teams. It is often observed that host teams tend to exploit their home conditions to an excessive degree.
- Equal Opportunity: Now, all 10 teams will have access to equal resources and time for their preparations.
- Pitch Protection: The imposition of time limits will help preserve the quality of the pitch for a longer duration, thereby ensuring that spectators get to witness high-scoring and thrilling matches.
- Fairness: This will prevent any team from gaining an unfair advantage based on the condition of the pitch.
