IPL 2026 Mega Trade: Three players who can be traded

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 is still about eight months away from starting, but the excitement and buzz around the next edition has already started building up. The trade window for IPL 2026 opened soon after the conclusion of the last season. Since then, speculations about several big-name players being traded have been rife.

1. Sanju Samson

According to several reports, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are interested in acquiring Rajasthan Royals captain and star wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson via trade. Samson could be a part of the CSK squad next season. Amid the possibility of MS Dhoni retiring from the game, CSK is looking for an experienced and reliable wicketkeeper-batsman. This is one of the big reasons why the franchise is eyeing Samson.

2. Ishan Kishan

Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan will play for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2025. He performed well, scoring 354 runs in 14 matches. Ishan could be traded to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) next season. KKR is looking for a great wicketkeeper-batsman to strengthen their lineup, which is why Kishan is reportedly on their radar.

3. Venkatesh Iyer

Venkatesh Iyer was bought by KKR for ₹23.75 crore, but he could not show any special performance. Iyer scored only 142 runs at an average of around 21 in the 2025 season. While KKR is looking for a strong wicketkeeper-batsman, Hyderabad wants a reliable Indian all-rounder who can perform well with both bat and ball. This could lead to a trade of Iyer (SRH) and Kishan (KKR) between the two franchises.
