The 28th match of IPL season 18 will be played today between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Sawai Mansingh Stadium (Jaipur). Bangalore team will play against Rajasthan in this match wearing a green jersey. Let us tell you why the team has worn this special jersey and what is the record of the team and Virat Kohli in this jersey.

Why does RCB wear green jersey?

This is part of their (Go Green) initiative, under which they wear a green kit for one match every season to spread awareness about their commitment to sustainability. The aim behind this initiative is to keep the environment clean, plant as many trees as possible, reduce waste, etc.

All RCB jerseys are made from 95% textile and polyester waste, and can be recycled multiple times without losing quality through Puma's Refibre fabric, RCB wrote on social media ahead of the match.

RCB's record in green kit has not been good. The team has played 14 matches in green jersey since 2011. Out of these, the team has won only 4 matches while it faced defeat in 9 matches and 1 match was inconclusive.
