The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) will pay tribute to the Indian Armed Forces during the closing ceremony of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The decision has been taken to honour the courage shown by the armed forces while successfully conducting Operation Sindoor.
India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. The armed forces launched precision strikes and attacks on terror hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK). Now the BCCI has decided to honour his courage and his selfless service to the country. BCCI secretary Devjit Saikia gave this information.
The closing ceremony will take place before the title match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on June 3. IPL 2025 was postponed amid rising cross-border tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack. The tournament resumed on May 17 after the two countries reached a ceasefire agreement.
