The franchises spent a lot of money on the first day of the IPL mega auction being held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The franchises opened the treasury for many players. Uncapped players have received very high bids in the IPL 2025 auction. Many uncapped players became millionaires on the first day of the auction. These players with a base price of 30 lakhs include Nehal Wadhera, Rasikh Dar Salam, Abdul Samad and Naman Dheer.
On the very first day of the IPL auction, Nehal Vadhera got a good bid. His base price was Rs 30 lakh. Punjab Kings bought Nehal for Rs 4 crore 20 lakh. Apart from Punjab, Chennai Super Kings, Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals also bid for him.
A lot of money was showered on Rasikh Dar Salam on the first day of the mega auction. The base price of the Indian bowler was Rs 30 lakh, but Royal Challengers Bangalore spent Rs 6 crore on him. Delhi Capitals used the Right to Match card for Rs 2 crore. After this, RCB directly bid on him for Rs 6 crore. In such a situation, Delhi Capitals withdrew their hands. Apart from RCB, Sunrisers Hyderabad also bid on Rasikh.
Indian all-rounder Abdul Samad has got the jackpot in the mega auction. Abdul Samad was till now a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad, but now he is with Lucknow Super Giants. Lucknow spent Rs 4 crore 20 lakh on Samad who had a base price of 30 lakhs. RCB and Punjab also wanted to buy Samad.
Naman Dheer triggered a bidding war between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore, after which Delhi Capitals (DC) stepped in. Later, Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) also joined in, but Mumbai Indians used the RTM to buy him back for Rs 5.25 crore. Naman is a solid pace-hitter who can be flexible with his batting position and can bat anywhere between No. 3 and 6. Moreover, he is naturally an aggressive batsman who can bowl good off-spin.
Ashutosh Sharma was expected to fetch a good amount in the IPL 2025 auction. He was sold for Rs 3.80 crore, with Delhi Capitals (DC) buying him while three other teams were bidding for him.
