Dilip said, "I've just seen Axar. He looks fine at the moment. That's all I can say." Axar got the chance to bat for the first time in this Asia Cup and scored 26 runs off 13 balls against Oman, including three fours and a six. Axar bowled just one over, conceding four runs, but he didn't achieve any success. Axar could prove to be crucial against Pakistan, but it's crucial that he is fit as soon as possible.
The Indian fielding coach was also asked about the short timeframe for India's next match against Pakistan, which will be played after a day's break on September 21. T. Dilip provided a good update on Axar Patel's injury, but he didn't share the full details. Clearly, he hasn't received clarity yet. The match against Pakistan is just a day away, and if Axar is feeling well, it would be very good news for Team India. He performed brilliantly with the bat against Oman. Prior to this, he took two wickets against Pakistan on September 14th.
