Women's shooter Manu Bhaker opened India's medal account on Sunday, the second day of the Paris Olympic Games. Now on Monday, the third day of the Games, there will be hope of medals from Ramita Jindal and Arjun Babuta as well. The Indian men's hockey team will face Argentina in the second match of the group stage, while badminton and table tennis players will also come out to speed up their campaign. The journey of the women's archery team may have ended in the quarter-finals, but a better performance will be expected from the men's archery team, which will challenge in the quarter-finals.

Hockey team will face a tough challenge from Argentina

The Indian team, which started with a win, will try to maintain this momentum against Rio Olympic 2016 champions Argentina in the second match of the Paris Olympics men's hockey event. In a thrilling first match on Saturday, India defeated New Zealand on the strength of captain Harmanpreet Singh's goal on a penalty stroke one and a half minutes before the final whistle. However, in this match, Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist India could not perform as expected and lost nine penalty corners. Argentina's team is good at man to man marking and India will have to break into it.

Better performance expected from Ramita and Babuta

Ramita qualified for the women's 10m air rifle final by finishing fifth, while Babuta qualified for the men's 10m air rifle final by finishing seventh in the qualification. Now on the third day, both these shooters will hope to win medals.
