Though these two were the only Paris 2024 quotas Indian archers received through direct competition, they were eventually upgraded to team quotas, letting India compete in all five medal events.
According to the Paris 2024 archery qualification standards, the top two teams per gender in the global rankings as of June 24 that did not get team quotas from previous qualifying events received team quotas for the Paris 2024 Olympics. The Indian men's and women's teams met the criterion, and the two individual quotas were later converted to team quotas.
Countries that achieve team quotas can compete in the gender-specific team event, the mixed team event, and the individual event with three archers each.Indian archers have never won a medal at the Olympics. The individual ranking round of the Paris 2024 archery competition will take place on July 25, a day before the opening ceremony. The following stages will take place at Les Invalides, from July 28 to August 4.
