Three new players have entered the team for the South Africa series. Ramandeep Singh, who plays for Kolkata Knight Riders, has got a place for the first time. Royal Challengers Bangalore's Vijay Kumar has also been included in the team for the first time. RCB's left-arm fast bowler Yash Dayal has also been included in the T20 team for the first time. Earlier, he has been selected in the Test team. He was selected in the Test series played against Bangladesh but he did not get a chance to debut.
The Indian team that played the T20 series against Bangladesh has gone on a tour of South Africa with some changes. Nitish Kumar Reddy, Washington Sundar and Harshit Rana were not included in the Indian team for the South Africa tour.
